What happens when you put a classroom in a parking spot?

In the Fall of 2015, the IDEXlab participated in the annual international event, PARKing Day. The task at hand was to “build” an outdoor educational place – a classroom – on the Appalachian campus as part of International PARK(ing) Day. An event focused on generating short term action to create long-term change, PARK(ing) Day is a call for “tactical” interventions in the built environment.
